Summer School Dream Daze was our group final for Video I. I wanted to get Dave Jenkins in the teacher role, but instead some girl did it, and she was nice and all, but she wasn't into doin' the role, plus her look was all wrong (she looks younger than the students), and her performance in this is pretty much the worst in any Pancake Production, I'd say. Anyway, it was fun to make. I wrote it, and we had to avoid doin' certain stuff that was in the original script cuz we didn't have time. It still turned out satisfactorily. I know we each had assignments in the group; mine was "Writer" but I took over Editing, Directing, and to a slightly lesser extent, principal photography. Like I said on the Pirates PSA page, I tended to take the bull by the horns when it came to group projects, and this was certainly no exception. Kirk Potillo was really made to act in this video. He was a nice guy but we don't talk anymore really. We managed to shoot part of it in Schnucks without getting kicked out, though; that was nice.

I mean, it's not really a proper "Pancake Production," but I'd be a little surprised if anyone else in my group even bothered getting him/herself a video copy, let alone continuing to show it to their friends as their own. And if they did, heck, they could even pretend like they did all the work that I actually did, and I still wouldn't care. Such is life in the world of group projects. This one has some sweet sound effects thanks to me, though.
